A STORY BEHIND THIS PRODUCT
Hasegawa Cutlery Co., Ltd. was established in 1933 as a company that specializes in making scissors. In order to increase the target population and to push their boundary to its limits, the company decided to create new scissors that has some universal design elements.
With Mr. Nakagawa of TRIPOT DESIGN CO., who is pioneer of universal design in Japan, the production team developed their new concepts.
One day at the meeting, a member of the team came up with the idea of cutting a paper with using just one hand, after looking at a PC mouse. This idea is actually the origin of this product.
Exploring the act of ‘Cutting’

Shaped like a computer mouse it allows the user to cut curves and shapes by guiding the cutter and holding down the cut button.
Push the button and pull where you want to cut toward so that the blade is revolving following your hand’s movement.
It allows precise and safe cutting as the blade automatically goes inside the cutter when it is not used.
A handy paper cutter – the blade is revolving 360-degree.
